Exploring Salzburg - sigths Hellbrunn - Palace and trick fountains. Hellbrunn Palace, built from 1612 - 1615, with its spacious park, trick fountains and the mechanical theater, is one of the most beautiful examples of manneristic architecture north of the Alps and unique throughout Europe. Hohensalzburg Fortress: Hohensalzburg Fortress, built in 1077 by Archbishop Gebhard, considerably enlarged by Archbishop Leonhard von Keutschach (1495 - 1519) is the largest, fully-preserved fortress in central Europe.
